Using Silver Shovel
Silver is the first stated shovel requirement for Clara’s Triassic work. Its 12 October recipe is 8,000 Coins, 5 Aquamarine Shards and 8 Red Jasper, collected from Cambrian and Devonian rocks.
Practical questions
- Is Silver worth buying for the first flying egg?
- If Clara is your goal, her Level 20+ quest requires Silver or better to break the 70 Triassic Rocks. If you already own a qualifying shovel, the material does not require buying another Silver.
- Does the old shovel ladder include Pacific?
- The 8 October progression recording predates the later Pacific guide. Keep the dated Silver access statement while using the later recipe and Pacific comparison for that upgrade.
Where can I find and unlock Silver Shovel?
The October 12 flying guide gives the Home Island Shovel Shop recipe as 8,000 Coins + five Aquamarine Shards + eight Red Jasper. Get Aquamarine from Cambrian rocks and Jasper from Devonian rocks, return to the Home shop and purchase the shovel. Silver or better breaks Triassic rocks and supplies Clara’s tool prerequisite.
- Check your balance and stored ingredients before travelling. With two Aquamarine, ten Jasper and 6,000 Coins, the recipe leaves three Aquamarine, zero Jasper and 2,000 Coins to obtain.
- Dig the needed Cambrian and Devonian rocks; no supplied material drop probability fixes the number of attempts.
- Return to the Home Shovel Shop with the full three-part cost.
- For flight, continue to Sky Spires with Level 20+, register twenty Pufferfish with Clara, break seventy Triassic rocks, return and pay 10,000 Coins.
Silver plus one Clara egg has an 18,000-Coin purchase total before bait, food or other spending. The older October 5 first-play recording mentions an unnamed 12,000-Coin next shovel after Bronze. Its name is not spoken; that separate scene does not rename the later explicit Silver recipe or remove its materials.
Use the recipe deficit planner and Coin budget for your stock. Then follow Clara’s complete route or Kai’s twelve-shard egg task, which also uses Silver or better at Devonian rocks.

Is Silver Shovel worth it? Best use and tier comparison
Silver is worth buying when your next goal is Clara’s first sky egg or Triassic work and your current shovel does not qualify. Clara asks for Level 20+, 20 Pufferfish, 70 Triassic Rocks and another 10,000 Coins; Silver plus that payment totals 18,000 Coins if you own neither requirement, before counting material collection. An already qualifying shovel avoids a duplicate Silver purchase.
