Prehistoric Farm Raptor Remains Quest: Route and Fishing Odds

The October 11 creator route travels to Devonian by boat or flyer, goes left near the front, talks to Dr. Ivy about remains, accepts the quest and then fishes. The creator reads the quest as roughly one cast in 100 bringing up a raptor remain and reports about 140 unsuccessful attempts. One in 100 is not a promise that the hundredth cast succeeds.

Start the remains quest

  1. Travel to Devonian Island. The creator uses a boat or flyer and approaches the newer location on the left near the island’s front.
  2. The auto-caption calls the location “Black Gate Ice Isle.” That is the source’s raw wording; the exact typed island label was not supplied, so it is not silently replaced with another island name.
  3. Talk to Dr. Ivy about the remains and accept the quest before fishing for its result. This is different from the Home DNA Lab exchange, where Dr. Ivy converts completed fossil/shard stock into eggs.
  4. Keep a rod and bait ready, then fish for the quest result. Read the active quest rather than counting any ordinary fish as a remain.

Why 140 attempts can still give no remain

The narration supplies an approximate rate and a creator-session example, rather than a pity counter. If a calculation assumes independent casts with a constant 1% chance, the chance of at least one success after N casts is 1 − 0.99N. At 100 casts that model gives about 63.4%; at 140 it gives about 75.51%, leaving approximately 24.49% with no success. These model numbers explain the reported dry run without proving how the game’s random system works.

Use the quest probability model to compare attempt counts. Do not multiply the approximate rate by a Luck boost, add an invented pity threshold or treat the creator’s purple-circle hearsay as a confirmed catch control. The source does not supply those relationships.

The key and boss reports

Hunt says a key is needed to fight the new boss and describes the new shovel as a small-chance drop, while admitting the exact chance is unknown. Later in the same narration the boss is called Indoraptor. Gojo’s October 11 original description instead calls a new encounter the Raptor X boss. The collected descriptions do not establish that these are the same encounter, a two-boss count or an exact alias.

UPDATE1 is source-listed with one Raptor X Remnant, 30,000 Coins and one Velociraptor Egg. The matching-looking item name does not establish that the reward completes this quest or makes the key. A key recipe, full typed location name and exact new-shovel drop odds were not supplied. Keep the known accept/fish route useful while leaving those specific questions separate.
