Prehistoric Farm Settings: Effects and Performance
PlayersLast updated 2026-10-13
Use the in-game Settings tab to adjust sounds, camera and visual effects, open Codes or replay the tutorial. The published Settings image describes Performance Mode as reducing shadows/effects for more FPS and says the Luck boost still applies when changing Weather Effects. A visual toggle is not presented as removing that bonus.
Controls shown in the published Settings pane
| Control | Useful distinction |
|---|---|
| Sound and Music | Separate volume settings; the image shows both at 100%. |
| Menu Sounds | Shown as its own ON/OFF sound option. |
| Camera Shake | Separate camera effect toggle. |
| Weather Effects | Visual effects setting; the pictured description says the luck boost still applies. |
| Wildlife | A distinct displayed option; no supplied numerical performance result. |
| Performance Mode | Described as fewer shadows/effects for more FPS. |
| REPLAY TUTORIAL | Return to the tutorial instructions. |
| Codes, JOIN GROUP and REDEEM | The alternate in-game code-entry route. |
If effects make the scene hard to follow
- Open the in-game menu/tablet and choose Settings. The published image places it alongside Fossils, Shop, Dinos and Map.
- Choose the setting for the issue you want to change: volume for audio, Camera Shake for that camera effect, or Weather Effects for weather visuals.
- For the advertised reduction in shadows/effects, use Performance Mode. The image’s OFF state is the creator’s setting at that moment, rather than a recommended default.
- Read your own result after changing a setting. The source does not supply an FPS before/after measurement, a guaranteed gain or a device-specific preset.
The pictured Menu Sounds, Camera Shake, Weather Effects and Wildlife are ON, and Sound/Music read 100%. Those are recording states. They do not establish the only correct volume or effect choices for a phone, console or PC. The official game description supports those platforms, while this published pane supplies the actual labels used here.
Replay instructions or enter a code
Use REPLAY TUTORIAL when you need the basic launch/dig route again. The beginner sequence connects that route with Dr. Ivy, incubation and ranch feeding so the first dig is not mistaken for a finished dinosaur.
On that route, launch the boat from Home’s dock, approach a glowing site and release the dig meter in green. Then check Fossils for readiness and return to the DNA Lab. Those are concrete progression actions; Sound at 100% or a Weather Effects toggle does not finish a fossil set. The pictured Replay Tutorial label does not establish that replaying resets your ranch or purchases.
For codes, use the Settings Codes row, paste the exact token and press REDEEM, completing any displayed group/like prompt. The article text “PocketTactics” in the published field is demonstration text, rather than a code token. The redemption guide also gives the separate start-menu CODES route. If you are comparing weather, a timed 2× Luck code and a Lucky Clover, read their distinct source conditions instead of assuming the settings toggle or the effects stack numerically.
What are optimal settings for my problem?
For the source-advertised reduction in shadows/effects, select Performance Mode. For camera motion, use Camera Shake; for audio, adjust Sound/Music/Menu Sounds. Weather Effects controls visuals while its pictured description says the Luck boost still applies. The shown ON states and 100% volumes are the creator’s scene, not an optimal device preset or measured FPS result. Choose the relevant actual control and observe your own result.
